Terms & Conditions for Warranty on Crowns/Bridge & Restorations/Fillings

(Patient Should have valid Warranty card issued by clinic to claim warranty)

                                        

Your new crown/restoration was made to withstand the normal forces from biting, chewing, and grinding. However, it is very important to understand that crowns /Restorations are not indestructible. In our strive for perfection and patient satisfaction, we are proud to forward the Warranty for the mentioned crown/Restoration/prosthesis to patient through Lab/manufacturer that too covers manufacturing defects in prosthesis (if any) based on Terms and Conditions below: –

              1: Warranty not applicable If: –

  • Proper Hygiene not maintained for the crown

  • Cases of Dental Works which are considered as after care treatment e.g., Removal of sutures after operations etc.
  • Gaps created due to food accumulation in untreated pockets.
  • Timely maintenance and follow up not done i.e. regular check-up and scaling/cleaning every 4 to 6 months.
  • Modification /repairs to the crown, its antagonist or surrounding areas by Patient himself/herself or from third Party.
  • Damage to Mouth, Face or Jaw Due to any accident or misuse; Normal wear and tear.
  • If warranty card issued by Lab/Manufacturer of Crown is lost.
  • Bruxism like habits not disclosed by patient on patient record form at time of treatment.
  • Patient is a bruxer or if canine guidance and Anterior guidance is absent also patient in habit of biting in different positions.
  • More than one-point breakage (considered outside mouth breakage).
  • If Crown Fails because of systemic disease e.g. uncontrolled diabetes etc.
  • Crown on tooth given but Patient develops Pain/sensitivity in same tooth who’s Rct/some treatment was done somewhere else.
  • Restoration/changes in crown were suggested in very next tooth of crown before impressions but patient didn’t get it done and patient has reported food lodgement.
  • Restoration was done with support of old restoration and old restoration has come out due to any reason leads to dislodgment of new restoration.
  • Restorations with absence of minimum 3 walls and intact base (if warranty is applicable).
  • Patient opting for crown lengthening, direct or indirect post, cap extension etc post treatment within same tooth.
  • Hard core food consumers, beetle nut consumers, non-vegetarian consumers who take more of bones, cartilages.
  • Any outstanding amount is due on date of delivery of Crown. Also, any prosthetic upgradation after fabrication of prosthesis.                      
  1. Crowns/restorations are not recyclable hence Consumable charges will be levied after delivering the crown/restoration, that will be calculated based on combined connected units requiring warranty claims due to affected crown/restoration, which is described in last line of para 2 for crown & 39.5% for restoration (this consumable charge subject to change from time to time and may vary from crown to crown /restoration to restoration and for implant crown charges are always 10% more in consumable charges as per type of warranty plus abutment charges if damaged) of current price of combined connected units undergoing warranty claims or as per the rate list of clinic at the time of warranty claims whichever is more. Crown refabricating without any justification or lack of maintenance (as per para 1) will be charged 65% of the current price of the crown that too only once within warranty period. Consumable Charge which may vary over time but for now it is for “Repair”/” replacement”/” change in treatment plan” For basic warranty is 19.5%+glue(g)/37.5% + g/50% +g and for extended warranty is 29.5%+g/47.5% + g/60%+g respectively.
  2. Any gap leading to food accumulation between crown and adjacent tooth has to be disclosed within 1-month else consumable charges applicable as per para 2.
  3. Any routine maintenance will not be covered under this warranty and the same will be provided on chargeable basis as per the Rates/charges prevailing from time to time.
  4. Restorations/crown given in teeth with sensitivity or deep cavities are more prone to post treatment hypersensitivity that may need additional treatment like rct etc. and in such situations warranty replacement of crown/ restoration cannot be claimed.
  5. Geetanjali Dental Options/doctors at clinic disclaims any liability, expressed or implied and bears no responsibility for any direct, indirect, punitive or their damages, arising out or in connection with the crown/prosthesis as we are not the manufacturer of the crown/prosthesis.
  6. Everything under load/pressure/use is subject to wear and tear which is up to 20% per year considered to be normal and cannot be claimed under warranty replacement.
  7. Old Crown has to be presented with photographs of crown at the time of failure to be submitted for warranty claims. In case Crowns are to be removed by cutting then cutting /Dismantle charges will be levied along with consumable charges.
  8. The limited warranty does not cover cost of procedures, materials, instruments, consumables and accessories used with the crown/restoration.
  9. Crowns can dislodge more frequently than normal in patients with deep bite, reduced vertical height of a tooth, crowns in 2nd & 3rd molars, cantilever bridge, sticky food consumers, food lodgement/plaque or calculus accumulation in interdental space surrounding that crown (poor oral hygiene) that can be re fixed but on chargeable basis irrespective of warranty. Once in lifetime crown/prosthesis will be re fixed free of cost* (* Applicable for Crowns fitted after 1/1/2018 Except in discounted or package crowns/Pending outstanding due on day of delivery).
  10. If a Crown get dislodged then it has to be fitted within 2 days, provided there has to be no changes/damage in the supporting/surrounding structures, else changes arise in supporting /surrounding structure leading to non-fitting or frequent displacement or dislodgement of crown then it cannot be claimed under warranty replacement. and Warranty valid only once.
  11. Warranties applicable within India only and are covered by the originalLab/manufacturer’s warranty  Items submitted for warranty consideration will be forwarded to the original manufacturer/Lab Concerned subject to all conditions of such manufacturer’s warranty on chargeable basis. Patient need to visit/contact clinic not lab, as labs don’t attend patients. GEETANJALI DENTAL OPTIONS shall be the sole and final determining authority as it applies to the administration of this warranty policy as authorised by labs/manufacturer.

Purchaser/user of Prosthetics Acknowledges receipt of Geetanjali Dental Options warranty policy and agrees to be bound by same.
